Eligibility & requirements

Operators must be 18+ with valid government-issued photo ID, and must either hold a Pleasure Craft Operator Card or complete the Transport Canada Rental Boat Safety Checklist at the dock. Every operator completes a safety briefing, passes a short safety quiz, and signs the liability waiver before operating. Sufficient English to follow safety instructions is required.

Payment & security deposit

A refundable $500 pre-authorization hold is placed per machine at the dock. It may cover equipment damage, lost or damaged safety gear, cleaning fees, time overruns, or policy violations. Your liability is not limited to $500 — you remain responsible for the full cost of any severe damage or total loss. HST applies to all damage and additional charges.

Conduct

• No racing, reckless maneuvers, wake-jumping near vessels, or ignoring staff instructions
• The primary operator is fully accountable for their passengers' behaviour
• Only operators named on the rental agreement and verified at check-in may operate the watercraft
• Violations result in immediate session termination with no refund

Zero tolerance — alcohol & drugs

Alcohol and drug use before or during the rental is strictly prohibited. Anyone appearing impaired will be denied launch with no refund.

Operational flexibility

Aqua6ix may delay, shorten, pause, cancel, or reschedule rentals due to weather, water conditions, mechanical issues, or any situation deemed unsafe. See our Cancellation and Refund policies for how money is handled in those cases.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada, and any dispute will be handled exclusively in Ontario courts. The Marine Liability Act, S.C. 2001, c. 6 may limit our liability in the event of an accident.
